One-of-a-Kind, Handmade Goddesses Infused with Positivity and Good Intention
Welcome. I’m so glad you’re here!
My name is Gina, and I’m the magickal maker behind GypsyMoon. I've been a creative person for as long as I can remember and, over the years, I've expressed myself in so many different ways — from writing poetry to paper-crafting (handmade invitations, altered books), to pyrography and making magickal besoms and wreaths. However, it was after being inspired by the work of several other artists, that I decided to give doll-making a try and truly found my niche!
It was toward the end of 2023 that the stars finally aligned and GypsyMoon (the names of two of my cats) was brought to life!
Each one of my dolls is handcrafted by me in my home state of Connecticut, using floral wire, yarn, and a wooden bead to create the base body. (I don't use paint for fair skin tones, but will use paint to create darker shades.) From there, I craft the base skirts using felt and occasionally fabric overlays, depending on the look I'm going for. I also use a variety of natural materials when creating my dolls, which is the hallmark of my creations — from foraged sticks, acorn caps, pinecones, and moss, to handpicked crystals from local mystical shoppes — I endeavor to infuse each one of my witches/goddesses with a little bit of earth magick! ✨🌱
All of my dolls are made to stand by themselves (average height is 8" without horns, antlers, or hats) and make the perfect addition to altars, mantels, or themed bookshelves. Because of their delicate nature and frames, they are not meant for play or rough-handling. However, with gentle-handling, proper care and storage, they can be enjoyed for many years to come.
Wishing you magickal blessings,
Gina
